Website Design

Your website needs to function for your customers.

What services or products do you offer? Who is your ideal client? What makes your business tick? What is the purpose of your website?

A pretty website won’t get you where you want to go. Let’s make your website work.

My Process is All About You

Get to know you | I want to understand your Company and your Goals.

Before we get into the design, we need to take some time to connect. For that, we’ll set-up a a chat to discuss your business. I’ll want to understand what makes it tick, what you want people to know about you, and what makes your business special. Let’s talk purpose, function, goals… Who’s your audience?

Customers are drawn to authenticity - the better your design and content reflects who you are as a business, the easier it will be to connect with your audience.

Wireframe | Let’s get organized.

The organization of content should be clear and helpful to visitors… The function should be fluid and support your growth.

Creating a great website starts with smart organization. Let’s confirm a structure for your website that includes appropriate content. Once we have an idea of the overview of the pages for the site, we will work on what is contained on each of those pages. Your needs might also include some technology integrations. Let’s firm up your needs and source what is best.

Content Development | What to say.

Now that we have an idea of how the website will be laid out from our wireframe conversations, we can dive into content creation. Using my understanding of your business from our get to know you meeting and the wireframe review, I’ll create a suggested content plan and source images. We will review the content plan together, tweaking as needed to get it just right to represent your company and suit your ideal clientele.

Design & Build | We’ve got our plan in place - now it’s time to confirm design and implement.

Using our new, agreed upon structure, content, and images, it is now time for me to get into the website to execute our plan.

I’ll first create two design mock-ups to guide the aesthetic design of the site. All websites are different and specific to the customer, so note that your website will be different than other samples I’ve offered; your site will be guided by your style and preferences. Once you’ve chosen your preferred design mock-up, I’ll build out the pages of the site with our content and images.

At this step in the build process we will walk through the site together for revisions. Seeing everything come together on your site may inspire additional content needs or ideas for ways to present information… We will review together and make those revisions! After the changes are made and we have your approval, the site will be published onto your domain.
